How to have a Beach Body:
1) Have a body
2) Take it to the beach
3) Collect trash and,
4) Dispose in dumpster.
All kidding aside, Covid restrictions have prompted us to make this year’s Big Beach Clean-Up a Solitary Event. Please follow these guidelines.
1) Be mindful of your safety and those you meet on the beach. Wear a mask if you are within 6’ of anyone. Bring gloves. Wear appropriate clothing and shoes. Wash your hands with soap for at least 20 seconds after disposing of any trash you collect.
2) Please dispose of filled trash bags in the large dumpster at the end of the Village Hall west parking lot. Do not put trash bags in the garbage receptacles on the beach ramp or those near the Village Hall.
3) Take a picture of your trash bag, with or without your “beach body,” and send to tsvassoc@gmail.com. TSVA may post the image here on our website. Participants will receive an awesome “thank you” gift.
4) If you find large or potentially dangerous objects on the beach, take a photo and send it in an email to tsvassoc@gmail.com. We will pass this information to Shoreham Village officials for action.
5) Tell someone you live with, or a friend, when you are planning to go to the beach and clean. We want to make sure you make it home safely and are not pinned under a giant piece of Styrofoam or mountain of drinking straws.
